Job Description
Summary
The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Associate for a non-laboratory research position. The individual hired will be responsible for providing research support on a research project related to bioethics and health policy.
Job Duties
- Work closely with the principal investigators to support day-to-day study activities and progress.
- Assist with analysis of qualitative interviews and data management.
- Manage development of a decision aid tool for patients and families considering pediatric deep brain stimulation by directing collaboration among investigators, vendors, and stakeholder groups.
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches and summarize information.
- Build reports based on findings for the research team and collaborators.
- Track project deliverables and ensure timely completion.
- Assist with document preparation and references for publications and new project proposals.
- Contribute to presentation preparation, such as pulling data and drafting slides.
- Assist the principal investigator with submission of new grant applications.
- Attend project meetings and maintain detailed summaries of meeting outcomes.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience or training related to neuroethics or the ethical, social, and legal implications of emerging technologies.
- Experience leading or contributing to scholarly papers and presentations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to accept work assignments flexibly, prioritize tasks effectively, understand processes, and resolve issues.
Work Authorization Requirement:
