Job Description

Summary

Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center offers a paid summer internship program with learning opportunities within the research labs, administration, and psychosocial services. The program fosters the development of learners who have demonstrated an interest in pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) or pediatric healthcare.

The Intern/Aide will support research studies in the Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center Center. The Principal Investigator’s research focuses on bone tumors in children within the pediatric population.

The position follows standard working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.


Job Duties

  • Perform entry level administrative or laboratory duties.
  • Assist with database management
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Perform chart reviews
  • Perform sample processing
  • May observe tasks related to field of study or career interest.
  • May assist with special projects/programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Work Authorization Requirement:

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
