Two (2) full-time Clinical Instructor positions are available in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. These positions will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities. These positions will be a one-year fellowship position, focusing on trauma, acute care, and critical care surgery.

Essential Functions
Perform clinical duties in surgical critical care, trauma, and emergency general surgery, under the supervision of attending surgeons.
Alongside and under the supervision of attending surgeons, will assist in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows that rotate on the clinical services of the division of general surgery.
Attend departmental and divisional meetings as relevant, to include participation in grand rounds and morbidity and mortality (M&M) review, SICU M and M, and trauma PI meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Ohio Medical License
Medical Degree (MD/DO)
Completion of 5-year residency in Surgery
Completion of a 1-year ACGME accredited fellowship in surgical critical care
Board certification in Surgery
Board eligibility or certification in Surgical Critical Care


Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
